Be prepared to discuss difficult topics
Before you meet with your boss, practice what you are going to say. Be ready to discuss your accomplishments and the impact you have had on the company, and be confident and prepared to ask for what you deserve.
In addition to discussing your accomplishments, highlight any additional skills or training you have acquired since your last salary review. For example, if you have completed a certification program or taken on additional responsibilities, make sure that your boss is aware of these achievements!
