If you spend enough time on the Internet, you might’ve read the word “Web3” before. What exactly is it? Gavin Wood, the Ethereum co-founder, coined the term, and according to him, it refers to a “decentralized online ecosystem based on blockchain.” Let us explain.
What is a blockchain? It’s a sort of ledger where each block contains information about a transaction, including timestamps and data about the previous one. Web3 would incorporate this technology and decentralize the market, allowing traders more freedom and eliminating the need for intermediaries like banks.
