Unfortunately, it is unsurprising that some companies are dishonest with their salaries. They make promises of high wages and benefits, only to reveal later that the offer was just a classic bait-and-switch tactic to take advantage of people’s need for work.

Companies should be transparent about their salaries and benefits from the get-go. After all, nobody wants to play a game of ‘Guess my salary’ with a potential employer! So, to avoid this, do not be afraid to ask this tough question upfront!
